Desperados 3 Eagle Falls Bridge Walkthrough and Mission Notes
Kate wakes up still stunned by her uncle’s death, not really able to shake off the grief. The others try to comfort her. She even drinks a little longer than Hector usually does when he goes hard on the whiskey. Max points out that the DeVitt Company will definitely send more men, and they may not be able to hold out against that. Hector says McCoy was hired for the job, so nobody should jump to conclusions. McCoy agrees.
Kate makes it clear that she does not want to run. She wants to cut the enemy off at the root by blowing up the Eagle Falls Bridge, making reinforcements much harder to move in. She says she wants to handle it herself. McCoy has been there before and warns that the place is heavily guarded, so pulling it off will not be easy. Cooper suggests that the three of them can do it and Kate does not need to go, but Kate insists this is personal and she has to be there.
That leads the group to the foot of the mountain near the bridge. There is dynamite in the mining shack. The basic plan is to set the explosives and then have McCoy ignite them with a long-range shot, destroying the massive wooden bridge structure.
At the start, there is another triangular setup: one target and two watchers. In situations like that, it usually makes sense to move with all three characters together. I took out the farthest one with a throwing knife, then used the nearby pin or a knee shot to knock someone out and lock down patrol timing and sight lines.
The alarm trouble started after crossing the bridge. There were two civilians talking and three gunmen who were covering each other, effectively making it a five-person problem. I tried different combinations and synchronized actions, but every setup failed, so in the end I just let the alarm go off and pushed through anyway.
In the quarry, I used my own method and did not rely on the explosives there to wipe everyone out. From the system prompt, it looked like simply picking up the dynamite was enough. I still cleared the shooting range, though. An alarm there does not seem to bring anyone in, probably because gunfire is normal in that area and everyone is used to hearing it. I also killed everyone at the lumberyard.

By the end, two characters were carrying explosives. If Kate takes them, then the enemies on the bridge do not actually need to be killed. You only need to avoid the long-coat enemy’s field of view. Once the charge is planted, the doctor can aim from the ladder entrance where Kate climbs down and simply shoot the explosives. The blast radius is wide enough that it will set the whole thing off.
After the bridge is destroyed, Hector comes in from behind and kills a few more enemies. Then everyone gets back to the train and the mission ends.
This one took me several days in total, with a play time of 6.35 hours. After getting through it, Civilization VI suddenly does not feel all that long anymore. The medal display also felt a little off to me, especially regarding Kate getting the dynamite at the shooting range.
At the end, the train seems to stop in a wooded area. The group sets up a campfire and cooks some meat soup, with several bottles of liquor nearby. Cooper still plans to go find Frank, who is working for the DeVitt Company.
